Q: Is There Anything I Can Do Myself Before Calling Bloch?

To make sure your system really does need our help, check your thermostat to ensure it’s set to “Cool” and that the target temp is lower than the current room temp. You can also check the circuit box to ensure the breaker hasn’t trip. If neither of those steps help, give us a call.

Q: Why Is My Air Conditioner Blowing Warm Air?

There could be a few reasons for this. Usually, a failing part or airflow restrictions are to blame. Failing capacitors, low refrigerant, and a dirty condenser coil are among some of the most common culprits.

Q: What Happens During AC Maintenance?

Our team cleans and tunes your system from top to bottom, making sure it runs as smoothly as possible. We’ll wash the condenser coil and clear the drain line, measure and test electrical components, ensure proper airflow, and more.

Q: How Often Should I Schedule Service?

We recommend making a service appointment for your AC once a year, ideally in the spring before the summer heat hits. That way, your system will be ready for the weather and will operate efficiently and reliably.

Q: Should I Replace My Furnace at the Same Time as My AC?

If your AC needs replacing and your furnace is 10 to 12 years old or older, then yes, we do recommend installing both together. Bundling the installations can save on labor costs and improve your year-round efficiency.

Q: How Long Does a New AC Installation Take?

The answer depends on a few factors, including the size of your new unit and the layout of your home. Typically, you can expect an installation to take between four and 10 hours.

Q: Do Ductless Units Work in Winter Climates Like Ours?

They do. In fact, many of today’s units are designed to work in cold climates. However, they may have a harder time doing so, in which case pairing it with a furnace or boiler can work well.

Q: Where Can I Install a Ductless System?

Most units are mounted on the wall in the room of your choice. However, some can be installed on the floor as well.
